Eric Wielo is a Chicago-based interactive web designer and developer, new media artist and educator. He has been creating and leading projects for a variety of businesses over the last 20 plus years, working with a range of companies in architecture, fashion, real-estate, education, green technology, entertainment and the arts. He is use to juggling multiple positions and takes great pride in crafting sites and software from conception to completion.
Eric received an MFA from the Art Institute of Chicago and a BFA from Siena Heights University. As a Professor he has taught courses in photography, imaging, drawing, web, multimedia design, programming and advanced studies at The School of the Art Institute of Chicago, The American Academy of Art and The Culver Academies. Prior to teaching, Eric worked in photography with a couple of well-know Chicago studios.
As a visual artist, Eric Wielo has exhibited his interactive new media art and photography internationally in galleries and museums, being found in several private collections and various publications. Other areas of his creative inquiry include: computer vision, real-time interactive 3d, audio-visual environments, physical computing and all things open source.
